West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board is empowered by the WB Govt. To conduct the WBJEE 2022 as a Common Entrance Examination for admission to Undergraduate Courses in Engineering and Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture Courses in Universities, Government Colleges as well as self-financing Engineering and Technological Institutes of West Bengal.
West Bengal JEE 2022 Mode of Examination
WBJEE is a Common Entrance Examination in offline mode ( OMR based examination ). Candidates are required to appear in two papers in WBJEE 2022
- Paper I – Mathematics
- Paper II – Physics & Chemistry
Candidates appearing in both Paper I and Paper II and who are awarded GMR Ranks will be eligible for admission in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Pharmacy Courses in all Institutes. Whereas Candidates appearing in Paper II only and who are awarded PMR ranks will be eligible for admission only in Pharmacy Courses ( except in Jadavpur University ).
Eligibility Criteria for Appearing in the WBJEE 2022
Candidates who desire to appear for WBJEE 2022 should have to fulfil the eligibility conditions. Details of WBJEE 2022 Eligibility is as under-
| Citizenship | Applicant must be a citizen of India |
| Age Limit | Lower Age Limit is 17 Years as on 31/12/2022. |
| Upper Age Limit | There is no Upper Age Limit except for Marine Engineering Course, for which the Upper Age Limit is 25 Years as on 31/12/22. |
Eligibility for Educational Qualification
| For Admission to Engineering Courses | 10+2 Passed with at least 45% ( 40% for SC /ST/ OBC / PWD) with Physics and Mathematics with any one of Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Computer Science / Computer Application / Technical Vocational Subject as compulsory subject with individual marks. Must have English as a compulsory subject with at least 30% marks. |
| For Admission to Pharmacy Courses | 10+2 Passed with at least 45% ( 40% for SC /ST/ OBC / PWD) with Physics and Mathematics / Biology with individual marks. Must have English as a compulsory subject with at least 30% marks. |
How to Apply for WBJEE 2022 Registration?
Application for WBJEE 2022 should be submitted online only through the web portal www.wbjeeb.nic.in. Willing students need to have a working mobile number and email ID for Online Registration Purposes. During the Application Submission, candidates need to remit the WBJEE 2022 Application Fees through Online by Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card only.
