WB Police SI / LSI Exam Pattern Details
Let us start with the WBP SI Recruitment Exam Pattern, the selection pattern of WBP SI Recruitment shall be conducted by West Bengal Police Recruitment Board. Selection for the post shall be on basis of qualifying the Preliminary Examination which will act as screening examination followed by the Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Final Combined Competitive Examination and Personality Test.
Preliminary Examination of WB Police SI Recruitment
Preliminary Examination will be an OMR based MCQ type written examination or a Computer Based Online Test (CBT). WBP SI Prelims Exam is qualifying in nature and this will be a screening test for selection of candidates for the Physical Measurement Test and Physical Efficiency Test. Total Marks of the exam is 200. For every wrong answer attempted, ¼th of the allotted marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The total time duration of the exam is 90 minutes. Question paper of the exam will be set in two languages (English and Bengali). Mark distribution of the examination is-
- General Studies (50 questions)- 100 marks.
- Logical & analytical reasoning (25 questions)- 50 marks.
- Mathematics (25 questions)- 50 marks.
Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Qualified candidates in the PMT only will be eligible to appear in the PET. Only candidates who qualified both PMT & PET shall be eligible to appear in the Final Combined Competitive Examination. The PMT details are discussed in the (Recruitment Notification), the candidate can check the details there. Physical Efficiency Test details are elaborated below-

Qualifying the PMT & PET shall make the candidate eligible to appear in the Final Combined Competitive Examination.
Final Combined Competitive Examination
Final Combined Competitive Examination will have the conventional type of questions, the Examination shall have three papers. The total mark of the examination will be 200. Paper wise Topics & Mark Distribution are given in the table

Qualifying marks in papers and also in the aggregate of three papers shall be decided by WBPRB.
WBP SI /LSI – Personality Test
Based on the performance of the Final Written Exam, only candidates who scored high based on the merit shall be called to appear for a personality test. This is the final stage of the recruitment process. Personality Test shall have 30 marks as full marks, and the minimum qualifying mark is 8 (eight). The final selection list will be prepared based on the marks of the Final written Exam and Personality Test-taking together by WBPRB.
