UPCET Eligibility

The UPCET 2021 will be held as admission cum entrance test for the courses offered by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) Lucknow, Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology (MMMUT) Gorakhpur, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, and Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU), Kanpur for the Academic Year 2021-22. Thus without being eligible, the aspirants cannot complete the registration. Hence, check the sections below to go through the course wise eligibility.

UPCET Eligibility for various Courses at AKTU

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University offered courses for which the UPCET will be held is discussed below with eligibility conditions.

Bachelor of Technology Bio Technology, B.Tech (BT)

Candidate must have passed (with/ without grace) intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with Physics and Mathematics/Biology as compulsory subjects along with anyone of the subject Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject

Bachelor of Technology Agriculture Engineering, B. Tech (AG)

Candidate must have passed (with/ without grace) intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with Physics/ Agricultural Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with any one of the subject Mathematics/ Agricultural Maths subject.

MCA (Integrated)

Candidate must have passed (with/without grace) intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with Physics and Mathematics/ Statistics/ Accountancy as compulsory subjects and one of the Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, / Technical vocational subject as optional subjects with least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

B. Pharm.

Candidate must have passed (with/without grace) intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics/ Biology subject.

BHMCT /BFAD /BFA/ B Voc/ B.Des /MBA (Integrated)

Candidate must have passed (with/without grace) intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent securing minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST category candidates) in aggregate.

MCA

Passed BCA/ Bachelor degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent Degree or passed B. Sc. /B. Com/ B. A. with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at graduation level with Minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in the aggregate.

B.Tech. for Engineering Diploma holders

Candidates who have passed (with/without grace) three years Engineering Diploma from an Institution located in U.P. with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) OR whose parents (Father or mother) are domicile of Uttar Pradesh and he/she has passed three years Engineering Diploma with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) recognized by the Board of Technical Education, U.P., in any branch of Engineering (except Agriculture Engg., Pharmacy and Architecture), are eligible for admission to Second year in any
branch of Engineering /Technology.

BTech for B.Sc. Graduates

Candidates who have passed (with/without grace) three years B.Sc. degree and passed XII standard with mathematics as one of the subject from any recognized University; securing minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate, are also eligible for admission to second year in any branch of UPCET-2021 Engineering/ Technology.

B.Pharm for Diploma holders

A pass in D. Pharm. course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.

UPCET Eligibility for various Courses at MMTU

Madan Mohan Malaviya University Of Technology also participates in the UPCET. Hence, the course wise eligibility is discussed below for the aspirants.

2nd year B.Tech.

(a) Diploma holders: Passed 3/4 year diploma examination from an institution recognized by U.P. Board of Technical Education in any branch of engineering/technology except agriculture engineering with at least 60% marks (55% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category).
(b) B.Sc. graduates: Passed 3/4 year B.Sc. degree from any recognized University of India as defined by UGC with at least 60% marks (55% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) and having passed 10+2 exam with Mathematics as a subject.

BBA

The candidate should have passed 10 + 2 examination in any discipline, with at least 55% marks (50% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) and English must be one of the subjects at 10+2 level.

B. Pharm.

The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 55% marks (50% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) having Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with Mathematics / Biology.

MBA

The candidate should have passed the recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration from any University of India as recognized by UGC with at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination.

MCA

The candidate should have passed the recognized Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration from any University of India as defined by UGC with mathematics at 10+2 level and obtained minimum 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination.

M.Sc. Physics / Math / Chemistry

The candidate should have passed the recognized Bachelor’s degree in science stream of minimum three years duration from any University of India as recognized by UGC. The candidates must have passed qualifying examination with Physics / Math / Chemistry as a subject for all the three years and with mathematics as another subject for at least two years and obtained minimum 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination.

M.Tech Programmes

B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent Engineering degree in relevant engineering branch with First Class or, if a class/ division is not awarded, and CGPA/CPI is adopted, 6.75 will be considered equivalent to first class/ division.
