SBI like every year has announced Probationary Officer Recruitment for 2000 Posts. The Recruitment has been announced through Advertisement Number CRPD/ PO/ 2020-21/ 12 from CRPD, SBI. SBI Probationary Officers- Why are they special in SBI?
SBI PO is a Management Grade Entry Level Officer in SBI. PO in SBI during their probationary period are trained in all of the fields that SBI deals with ranging from Deposits, Advances, Treasury, Agri-Credit, SME Finance, and others. After the completion of the probation period, and on passing the complementary exams as decided by CRPD, these officials are given the charge of a Branch or Assistant Manager Posts in Branches.
Since during their training SBI PO’S are exposed to most of the related fields and are extensively trained in these fields, these officials become expert in any of the fields that SBI deals. This edge over the other Employees makes this Post very attractive as SBI PO are promoted to higher scale Posts in a short period of time. This is quite evident from the fact that most of the SBI Board members and even the Current Chairman of SBI had joined SBI as a Probationary Officer. So, all these and more make SBI PO Post a very attractive career option for graduates.
Emoluments as SBI PO
In SBI, starting Basic Pay of a PO is 27,620/- (with 4 advance increments) in the scale of 23700-980/7-30560-1145/2-32850-1310/7-42020 as per JMGS Scale-I. Besides this, PO’s are eligible for D.A, H.R.A/ Lease rental, C.C.A, Medical and other allowances & perquisites as per rules. As per SBI Notice, total compensation of SBI PO on CTC basis would be a minimum of Rupees 8.20 lacs and maximum of Rupees 13.08 lacs per annum.

Eligibility Criteria for SBI PO Application 2020-21
The candidate who desires to apply for SBI PO Post should have the required eligibility as per SBI Notification. The candidate is also informed that the eligibility criteria in case of Educational Qualification shall be reckoned as on 31st December 2020 while for Age-related Eligibility, this shall be reckoned as on 1st April 2020. Educational Qualification as on 31st Dec 2020
Graduation in any discipline from any recognized university is the minimum educational qualification. However higher qualified candidates like CA, MBA, MCA etc. can also apply for the post. Applicants who are in the final year/semester waiting for the result or whose result would be available before 31st August 2019 can also apply. But candidates should be able to prove this in the event of being selected during the interview.
Age Limit as on 1st April 2020
Candidate should be 21 years and not above 30 years as on 01.04.2020. Due age relaxation has been given to the reserved category of candidates. The upper age limit as advertised are-

- Open the appropriate Online Application Form.
- Upload the Scanned Image of Photograph & Signature.
- Fill up the Particulars.
- Ensuring the Correctness of the data, proceed to Payment Gateway.

The dimension of Scanned Photograph Image
- The photograph must be a recent passport style color picture.
- Dimensions should be 200 x 230 pixels.
- Size of file should be between 20kb–50 kb.

- Dimensions should be 140 x 60 pixels.
