RRBs invited online applications on behalf of RRCs from eligible aspirants against CEN RRC – 01/2019 for various posts in Level 1 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix in various units of Indian Railways. As per sources, over 1.15 crore candidates had registered for RRB Group D 2022 exam. These candidates have appeared for the Computer Based Test according to the phase of exam allotted. It is to note at this stage that Railway Administration reserved the right to conduct the CBT in either single or multi stage mode. Candidates qualifying in the CBT shall have to undergo Physical Efficiency Test (PET). This will be followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination.
RRB Group D Result 2022 – Evaluation of CBT
The RRB Group D Computer Based Test is an objective type MCQ based examination. CBT examination consist of 100 questions to be attempted within 90 minutes. Negative marking for incorrect answers will be calculated in the CBT. 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for every wrong answer attempted.

According to the notification, the minimum marks required by the candidates to score for the next step of the selection is as under –
- UR- 40% of the total marks
- OBC -30 % of the total marks
- SC/ST-30% of the total marks
- PWD candidates- 28 % of the total mark
How are Aspirants shortlisted for RRB Group D PET ?
Now, post completion of Railway Group D CBT, RRB which participated in the said recruitment is going to declare the CBT score. Applicants through this result shall be able to check their qualifying status for PET. Qualifying the PET will be the last stage, after which RRB will publish the RRB Group D Final Merit List 2022.
Railway/RRC wise short listing of candidates for PET shall be done at the rate of three times of the vacancies. The short listing for PET will be based on the merit of the candidates in the CBT. RRB Group D Result 2022 – Normalization Method
Now, we all know that RRB Group D CBT was held in multiple phases whereas the syllabus of the CBT was same. Now, if we go by the RRC 01/2019 Notification, RRB will adopt a normalization method to derive the CBT score of the candidates participated in CBT across multiple sessions. The formula for calculating the normalized marks for the multi-session papers is as under :
RRB Group D PET after CBT Result 2022
Based on the merit of the candidates in the CBT, candidates shall be called for PET Three times the
community wise total vacancy of the Posts notified against RRBs/RRCs. Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory and the same will be qualifying in nature. The criterion for PET is as under:

- The Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are exempted from appearing for PET. However, after qualifying in the CBT, such candidates will have to pass the medical examination prescribed for PwBD.
