Panchayat & Rural Development Commissionerate, Govt. of Assam through the official notification number No.PDDE(I)26/2019/Pt-I/45-52 dated 27/08/2020 has declared a vacancy notification of 1004 posts. These posts are under the State Government and are permanent posts carrying the state Govt. Pay scales and are governed by the rules applicable. Age Criteria and Educational Qualification to Apply
The age criteria as per the released notification and the education qualification required for the posts are given below
Age Criteria
- Candidates should be minimum of 18 years of Age.
- Maximum age limit for all of the posts is 38 years.
- The age limit shall be calculated as on 01-01-2020
- The maximum age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
Educational Qualification
- Candidates who want to apply for the posts except for Gaon Panchayat Secretary should be graduate from any recognized university.
- For the post of Gaon Panchayat Secretary candidate should be a commerce graduate.
Selection Process of the PNRD Assam Recruitment 2020
Selection Process of the PNRD Assam Recruitment 2020 is discussed here. Candidates desirous of applying for this notification can read the selection process as this is vital for any recruitment. The selection process of all the posts except Gaon Panchayat Secretary post shall be 1 (one) written exam while there will be a separate written exam for Gaon Panchayat Secretary post. The time allotted for the exam to be conducted is 3 hrs. The exam shall be completely OMR based consists of 100 questions carrying 1 mark each. There will be negative marking of half marks for each wrong answers attempted. The syllabus of the written exam is as –
- Logical Reasoning, Aptitude, Comprehension.
- Matters relating to history and culture of Assam and India. &
- General Knowledge.
The written exams shall be conducted at six exam centers in Assam State only. The exam center as per the notification shall be in Guwahati, Bongaigaon, Tezpur, Silchar, Jorhat, and Dibrugarh. However Commissioner, P& RD reserve the right to change the exam center if a situation arises.
The final selection shall be based on the performance in the written test and in order of preference opted the applicants.
