| Honors Course | A student who opts for an Honours course in any Arts subject should have a good academic record with not less than 50% marks in the concerned subject in the qualifying examination. A student offering Honours course in Economics, besides fulfilling the above-mentioned condition, should have at least 40% marks in Mathematics in the H.S.L.C./ H.S. Examination. A student intending to take Honours in Commerce subjects must have 50 % marks in Accountancy and Business Studies in the qualifying examination. Preference will be given to the students who have Commercial Mathematics & Statistics (CMS) in H.S. A student intending to take Honours in B.Sc Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Ecology & Environmental Science must have 50% marks in the concerned subjects in the qualifying examination. |
Apart from the above eligibility, the students offering Honours may have to undergo a written test. Students with unsatisfactory performance in the test will not be allowed to continue with Honours subjects.
