To finalize the Selection Process, the Railway Recruitment Cell shall adopt the Selection Process as per the notice. The ER Trade Apprentice Selection Shall depend on two factors –
Selection Process of Eastern Railway Trade Apprentice
| For 10th Pass Trades | The merit list will be drawn for candidates eligible taking the average of the percentage marks obtained by the candidates in both matriculations (with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks) and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both |
| For 8th Pass Trades | The merit list would be prepared for all eligible candidates, including those having qualifications of matriculation and who opt for these trades, based on the average marks obtained both in class 8th standard and ITI examination, as indicated in 10th Pass Trade discussed above. |
Illustration of Selection Process: If a candidate secured 80.58 % marks in Matriculation examination and 91.68% marks in ITI, then marks considered for selection will be ½ [80.58 + 91.68] = 86.13.

Resolution of Tie Cases in ER Trade Apprentice Result 2022
In the case of two candidates having the same marks, the candidate having older age shall be preferred. In case the dates of birth are also the same, the candidate who passed the matriculation examination / 8th Examination earlier shall be considered first.
Mode of Eastern Railway Act Apprentice Merit List Release
The applicants on the announced date shall be able to download the ER Trade Apprentice Result / Merit List 2022 from the RRC ER Official Website. In this regard, the Authority will activate a direct link for the candidates. The Eastern Railway Trade Apprentice Result 2022 will have the name of the candidates and other details who are shortlisted to undergo the apprenticeship against the Workshop / Units. Candidates enlisted as explained above will be called for Document Verification according to the Merit Order.
