CNB College Offered Higher Secondary & TDC Courses
The college offers a Bachelors’s degree in science under Dibrugarh university. It also imparts science education in the higher secondary level under AHSEC. The academic programs have a distinct focus on science, reflecting the objective of the college.
Higher Secondary (2 years Course) in Science
The students passing the HSLC Examination of SEBA or equivalent examinations recognized by the AHSEC are eligible for admission in the Higher Secondary 1st Year Class (Class XI) of Science. The student must secure atleast 60% of total marks in General Mathematics and General Science.
Subjects for H.S. Course
- Compulsory Subjects: English and MIL (Assamese/Alternative English)
- Elective Subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics.
Please Note: Candidates have to select any four elective subjects from the above.
Degree Course in Science under Dibrugarh University
The Three Year Degree Course is divided into six semesters and the duration of each semester is six months. At the end of each semester, students have to appear in one end semester examination which is conducted by the D.U. In addition, there will be two in-semester examinations for internal assessment.
Subjects for B.Sc. Course
- Major Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology.
- Core Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science.
Please Note: Candidates have to select One Major subject from the above and two core subjects from the following combinations. However, the condition of combinations will depend upon the circumstances.
