Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) will not conduct any Written Examination, rather the candidate’s selection list will be prepared on the merit points. BTSC Food Safety Officer Merit List Factors
The Bihar Technical Service Commission shall prepare the Selection List among the candidates on the basis of Educational Qualification & Experience. The Marks Allotment according to the educational qualification and experience is as follows –

| For Bachelor Degree Course on Food Technology / Dairy Technology / Bio-Technology / Oil – Technology / Agriculture Science / Veterinary Science / Bio-Chemistry / Microbiology | 70 Marks |
| For Higher Qualification after Bachelor Degree | 10 Marks |
| For Work Experience in Govt Department or Organisations (Central or State) – For every six months – 2 marks (subject to a maximum of 20 marks) | 20 Marks |
- To calculate the marks according to the education qualification at Degree Level, the score percentage shall be multiplied by 0.70. For example, if a candidate’s score percentage at Degree Level is 70, then his score will be – .70×70 = 49 Marks
- Minimum Cut Off Marks for Selection is 33%.
